CHECK IT OUT!
Sam's very own music video! Produced, with love, by dad. (FYI - it's 10 megs, and you'll need the Real Player to see it.)

Back in Arizona

We finally made it out of Florida after seven long days of waiting for paperwork to clear. What a relief to get home! - until, of course, we found that we were coming back to an *Arizona* heat wave (over 100 degrees for 35 days and counting!), as well as unfinished construction projects galore. Ahhh, just your typical Roth Gordon summer!

While adding Henry to our home has been exhausting, it's also been great fun. We all love having him around. Sam loves to come over to Henry and say "hi, little guy" and stroke his head. He's been so sweet! Henry weighed in at a whopping 5 lbs., 10 oz. at his 10 day checkup - he's a real bruiser! Despite his actual weight, we do feel like he's filling out a little - so we're happy about that. We're still working on getting off of formula - more updates to come!

Henry takes his first plane trip at 8 days old... a true Roth Gordon!

Jen joined the true mile-high club - tandem nursing at 35,000 feet!

Henry hanging out at home...

Which is bigger, our tiny cell phone or our tiny Henry?

Our new family of 4!

Henry tried his first bath - and liked it! As long as he was in the warm water, that is...

Remember when they snuggle up on your chest as their coziest sleep position?

So cute!

Sam loves holding Henry.

Henry's first sponge bath ends with a massage.

Yes, Sam has outgrown his baby toys!

Sam is now a professional babysitter (well, except that we don't pay him!). Here he pulled up his chair for the baby-sitting.

We don't get many kisses from Sam - but Henry does!

Our budding genius - Henry is finding his thumb already!

Surviving Hurricane Henry!

Of course, Henry is so little, we've downgraded him to a Tropical Storm! Today is Henry's 5th birthday, and our third day of having this tiny little joy in our life. Sam continues to amaze us - he is so gentle and caring with Henry. When he nurses next to Henry (yes, Jen has achieved tandem nursing - the equivalent of a black belt in the nursing world!) he gently strokes Henry's body. The other day, while Henry was crying Sam came up to him, stroked his head, and said "I know, I know" mimicking his parents' gentle talk. Henry is eating like a champ, though his tiny tummy wants food every two hours, especially at night!

The only clothes that fit - onesie size 3-5 lbs!

Our little chicken legs!

Pipa (grandpa) tries out our new pouch - we figure Henry needs 3 more weeks in the womb!

Mima (grandma) swings back into newborn action!

What we didn't get with Sam - Little hands...

And little feet!

Henry Oliver is here!!!

We want to introduce the newest member of our family - Henry Oliver Roth Gordon. Henry was born on the 4th of July (the same date as our anniversary!). He was born at 1:50 PM, at a whopping 5 lbs 8oz, and 18 inches long! Despite his teeny-weenie size, he is eating like a champ. And as you can see from the pictures, he is so adorable - we've fallen in love all over again. Sam is excited too - he keeps coming over to take a look at his new brother, and gently touches his head and gives him kisses. He keeps saying that now we are a family of 4!

Outside the hospital - Henry was two days old.

A 4th of July hat for our 4th of July baby!

Sam becomes a big brother!

It may look loud, but Henry's cry is actually really quiet and sweet...

Sam cuddles with his baby brother...

...and gives him a sweet kiss!

Henry meets his great-grandma - she deems him "very cute"!

Jen's first attempt at tandem nursing - this will no doubt be a regular site in our house!
