Sam and Henry continue to be super cute together. Just tonight as we were reading stories to Sam, he kept turning to a sleeping Henry and stroking his back, making sure he was comfortable. Henry is just starting to smile - although he smiles and coos more at his mobile than at us! But we'll take it! Henry feels so big to us these days, but at his doctor's visit yesterday he hit 8 lbs, 4 oz - the weight Sam was when he was born!!! A lot of that weight gain (and loss of gas pain) is due to our miracle find Crystal, who donated a huge amount of breast milk that her son Caden, who was born at 26 weeks, was unable to use. He's doing great now, and so is Henry, thanks to Crystal's generosity. Thanks Crystal!!!

To do all this growing, Henry has to eat a lot, but sometimes he takes it a little far!

We had lots to do in Madison, WI, so Henry's first Roth Gordon family trip was to the land of cheese and cows. Sam wanted to see his friend Belle, Henry wanted to meet Belle's new brother Silas, and we all wanted to see off Aunt Rachel and Uncle Joe as they set off on their new adventure moving to Israel. Not surprisingly, Sam and Belle picked up where they left off, as if they had not been apart for the past year! They were so cute together!

Dubbed the "Snip and Dip", Henry's Bris, followed by a pool party, went great. Even Henry took it all in stride, minus a few minutes of unhappiness during the actual event! But Henry was surrounded by lots of friends and family, in a house/hotel filled to capacity, and that's really what it's all about.


We passed Henry through the generations, giving everyone a chance to share their wishes for Henry. Mima and Pipa went first...


...followed by Grandma and Papa.
