CHECK IT OUT!
Sam's very own music video! Produced, with love, by dad. (FYI - it's 10 megs, and you'll need the Real Player to see it.)

Thanksgiving in Cleveland

Henry got to meet his cousins - all seven of them! - on his trip to Cleveland for Thanksgiving. He spent time drooling on everyone, and he showed Grandma and Papa his rolling (ooh!) and laughing (aah!). He's got some great new tricks! Most important - our Florida/Arizona boy saw his first snow!

Sam had a blast with cousins Annie and Lulu. He looked like such a big kid, following them around and trying to get their attention. "Annie, do you know what?" "What?" she'd say. Then he had to think of something to say!

Henry likes to chew everything these days... he especially liked Papa's cane!

Grandma and Papa loved spending time with their newest grandson!

Grandma takes a taste... "Delicious!"

Sam learns some fashion sense from Papa!

Uncle David and his favorite nephews!

Sam and Annie and Lulu love Grandma and Papa's new digs... especially the indoor pool! It has a great big kiddie pool and great big windows to admire the snow outside!

Little, big, bigger, biggest!

Yes, that's Sam under there! Sam's request to Lulu... "build a dungeon for me!"

Uncle Abram took his turn holding Henry and mopping up the drool.

Henry visits Grandma and Papa's old house. He tried making an offer, but couldn't quite get it into words...

Taking a break from our crazy schedule of toy shopping and ice-cream eating!

Annie and Lulu introduce Sam to slapstick movies... fortunately he had more fun watching them than the movie!

Two things new to Henry... snow and dogs licking your face!

Second cousins Sam, Talia and Arielle help unwrap Henry's present! That's what big cousins are for!

Great Aunt Sue is a great cuddler!

Happy Halloween!

Another few months have passed, and Sam's and Henry's fans have been clamoring for more pictures! As usual, many apologies for the delay - life with two has been a handful (or two handfuls more precisely!) Since our last posting, Sam has started back at his "new" school - the Second Street School, which he - and we - love. It's right down the street from us (we live on Second Street...) and it's got a playground that has to be seen to be believed. Henry has found something to do during the day too - we finally found a great babysitter named Desire who picks him up every morning and takes him on lots of baby adventures (yes, at 4 months, trips to the grocery store can seem like a colorful adventure). People still stop us everywhere to marvel at our beautiful boy (who are we to disagree!). The boys hit the big apple in October, and proceeded up the East Coast to visit with lots of friends and family. And finally, Halloween turned out to be lots of fun with a big party for Sam's friends and trick-or-treating for all. We're headed on lots more travels over the next few weeks, so we'll be sure to post pictures as soon as we get back (no really, we promise!).

Little Henry made for a very cute, if not tall, giraffe!

Our house was filled with kids for Halloween - fortunately there weren't too many tricks, just lots of treats!

Sam, I mean Thomas, teamed up with special friend Merritt for some trick-or-treating

Whew! Trick-or-treating is hard work!

Henry gets a lift from one of his "milk mommies", Claudia!

The Roth Gordons bid goodnight to a very fun and successful Halloween!

Aunt Rachel came to visit right before Halloween - just in time to help carry the pumpkins!

Rachel and Sam got to pet the animals at the petting zoo.

Farmer Henry takes a break on the haystacks!

Conductor Sam lends a hand!

Our New Family!

September 27th was a big day for us - at 5:30 in the morning a judge in Florida finalized our adoption. Henry is officially and fully ours! It's been a bit overwhelming going from a 2:1 ratio to a 1:1 ratio, but it's also been overwhelmingly fun. Our boys make us laugh and smile every day!

Henry officially joined the family in a hearing over the phone. The kind travelling notary, who was willing to come to our place at 5 in the morning, took this picture. Henry pretty much slept through the whole thing!

As soon as Henry was officially ours, we did the first thing Roth Gordons do: get a passport! Here's Henry posing for his picture. We got a note from the State Department: "This is the cutest passport we have ever issued!" (Okay, we didn't - but we should have!)

Sam is a great big brother - always trying to entertain Henry. Henry is a big fan!

Sam showing off Henry's feeding system... it's a little convoluted but it keeps Henry breastfeeding!

Sam and Henry and chores. A little laundry, anyone?

Ahhh, like father, like son...

Sam made his first visit to the dentist and was a total champ. He had his mouth open before the dentist even came in! They gave him sunglasses to block the light...

Henry still loves his sling - it's the coziest place for him to sleep!

Here's a rare site - both boys asleep at the same time!

Sometimes even the express train needs a rest!

Sam and Henry love to sleep together at night - they keep each other warm and comforted.

Sam and Henry Love New York!

Our trip to the East Coast was a mad dash, with visits planned every day. But it was all worth it in the end since we got to see so many people. Sam and Henry handled it all in style, looking forward to the next day's adventures and new playmates!

"So Great Grandma, do you think I'm cute?" "I think you're beautiful, Henry"

Mima and Pipa trudged into the City every day to get their fill of hugs!

Sam and Nick laid track through Long Island's diners while we had brunch with Shari, Dave, and Cate.

Sam got some serious tickles from Woodie after teasing him about his comic book collection (what, no Thomas the train books?!)! Good thing Woodie's other toys were acceptable...

Mari took time out to teach Henry about the birds and the bees... fortunately just his toy bird and toy bee!

Talk about well timed! Henry and Jamie are just a month apart, just like older brothers Sam and Jack!

Smita and Richard try to convince Henry to come to India for their wedding. "You had me at the elephant ride" said Henry!

Newly-engaged Lisa and Eric traveled all the way from Hoboken to see us (that's far, for city folk!)

Heading up the East Coast, Judy fell in love with Henry instantly... now if only she could move to Arizona!

Sam and Sarah Malloy catch up, 3-year-old style. "Remember the time..."

Sarah showed off her well practiced baby brother skills!

"Nobody warned me about this!"... Kara's the only person with more energy than all these kids put together!

Henry got to hang out in Boston with Aunt Merle.

Hey, who's holding who in this picture? Sam hams it up with Brad.
